The International Relations and Multicultural Affairs Branch of Brisbane City Council and Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) were privileged to host Her Excellency Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Special Envoy to Australia, and His Excellency Abdulla Alsubousi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Australia, at the Brisbane Business Hub (BBH). The delegation was given a tour of the Hub and briefing on Brisbane’s economic opportunities and initiatives.
We also discussed Brisbane’s Sister City relationship with Abu Dhabi and the 2023 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (#2023APCS) & Mayors’ Forum, to be held in Brisbane in October 2023. The #2023APCS is going to be a great avenue engage with mayors and delegations from over 140 cities, representing half a billion people.
